INSPECTION PROCEDURE
PROCEDURE
1. REPLACE USB Device OR "iPod"
(a) Disconnect the USB device or "iPod" from the stereo jack adapter.
(b) Turn the engine switch off.
HINT
When this DTC has been stored, it is necessary to turn off the engine switch to make it possible for the vehicle to recognize a new device when it is connected.
(c) Turn the engine switch on (ACC).
(d) Connect a known good USB device or "iPod" to the stereo jack adapter.
NEXT -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK FOR DTC
(a) Clear the DTCs Audio and Visual System (W/O Multi-Display).
(b) Check for DTCs and check if the same DTC occurs again.
HINT
If DTCs are output frequently, replace the multi-media interface ECU.
OK:
Malfunction disappears.
NG -- CHECK MULTI-MEDIA INTERFACE ECU
OK -- USB DEVICE OR "iPod" WAS DEFECTIVE
1. CHECK MULTI-MEDIA INTERFACE ECU
(a) Disconnect the H33 No. 1 stereo jack adapter assembly connector.
(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

OK -- REPLACE NO. 1 STEREO JACK ADAPTER ASSEMBLY
1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MULTI-MEDIA INTERFACE ECU - STEREO JACK ADAPTER)
(a) Disconnect the H34 multi-media interface ECU connector.
(b) Disconnect the H33 No. 1 stereo jack adapter assembly connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE MULTI-MEDIA INTERFACE ECU Removal
