Exterior Lighting System

LIGHTING (EXT): LIGHTING SYSTEM: TERMINALS OF ECU

1. CHECK HEADLIGHT SWIVEL ECU ASSEMBLY (W/ AFS)





(a) Disconnect the A46 headlight swivel ECU connector.

(b) Measure the resistance and voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.





(b) If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction on the wire harness side.

(c) Reconnect the A46 headlight swivel ECU connector.

(d) Measure the resistance and voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.





(d) If the result is not as specified, the headlight swivel ECU may have a malfunction.

2. CHECK DRIVER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY, MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU)





(a) Remove the main body ECU Removal.

(b) Measure the resistance and voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.





(b) If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction on the wire harness side.

(c) Install the main body ECU Installation.

(d) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.









(d) If the result is not as specified, the main body ECU may have a malfunction.

When the ambient light becomes brighter, width A becomes narrower.

3. CHECK INNER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY (W/ Automatic High Beam System)





(a) Disconnect the W5 inner rear view mirror assembly connector.

(b) Measure the voltage and resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.





(b) If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction on the wire harness side.

(c) Reconnect the W5 inner rear view mirror assembly connector.

(d) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.





(d) If the result is not as specified, the inner rear view mirror assembly may have a malfunction.
