Coolant Temperature Sensor/Switch (For Computer): Testing and Inspection
4GR-FSE ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM: ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR: INSPECTION
1. INSPECT ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR
(a) Partially soak the sensor in the water and warm up the water.
(b) Measure the resistance between the terminals.
Standard resistance:
(b) If the result is not as specified, replace the sensor.
NOTICE:
When checking the sensor in the water, keep the terminals dry. After the check, wipe the sensor dry.
