INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
* When replacing the tire pressure warning ECU and receiver, read the IDs stored in the ECU using the Techstream and note them down before removal.
* It is necessary to perform initialization Initialization after registration Registration of the transmitter IDs into the tire pressure warning ECU and receiver if the ECU and/or one of the valve and transmitters have been replaced.
PROCEDURE

1. CHECK WIRE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TIRE PRESSURE WARNING ECU - TIRE PRESSURE ANTENNA)

(a) Disconnect the tire pressure warning ECU and receiver J49 connector and tire pressure warning antenna A59 and Q29 connectors.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

HINT
Because the coaxial cable that is used for the tire pressure warning antenna consists of a center conductor and an outer shielding layer (-), this measurement should be performed to ensure that there is no malfunction in the coaxial cable.

Standard resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. INSPECT TIRE PRESSURE WARNING ANTENNA

(a) Disconnect the tire pressure warning antenna A59 and Q29 connectors.





(b) Check for continuity between the terminals of the antenna cable core and the shield wire.

HINT
Coaxial cable is used for the antenna.

OK:

Approx. 2 kOhms

NG -- REPLACE TIRE PRESSURE WARNING ANTENNA Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK DTC

(a) Check for a TEST MODE DTC Test Mode Procedure.

A -- REPLACE TIRE PRESSURE WARNING ECU AND RECEIVER Removal
