DESCRIPTION

* When a key switch is pushed: 1) the door control receiver assembly receives the key signal; 2) the door control receiver assembly sends a signal to the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly); 3) the multiplex network master switch assembly sends the operation permission signal to the power window regulator motor assembly; and 4) the power window regulator motor assemblies are activated.

* When the driver door key cylinder (key linked switch) is turned: 1) the door lock motor receives the signal; 2) the multiplex network master switch assembly sends the signal to the power window regulator motor assembly; and 3) the power window regulator motor assemblies are activated.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
The power window control system uses a multiplex communication system (BEAN). Inspect the communication function by following How to Proceed with Troubleshooting How To Proceed With Troubleshooting. Troubleshoot the power window control system after confirming that the communication system is functioning properly.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK BASIC FUNCTION (WIRELESS AND POWER DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM)

(a) Check that the wireless transmitter Operation Check and driver door key cylinder (key linked switch) Operation Check lock and unlock all the doors normally.

Result:





C -- GO TO POWER DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM (Proceed to Problem Symptoms Table)

B -- GO TO WIRELESS DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM (Proceed to Problem Symptoms Table)
A -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK MANUAL UP / DOWN FUNCTION

(a) Check that the manual up/down function using the multiplex network master switch assembly and power window regulator switch assembly can operate all the power windows Operation Check.

OK:

Manual up/down function is normal.

NG -- GO TO OTHER PROBLEM (Proceed to Problem Symptoms Table) Problem Symptoms Table
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK REMOTE UP / DOWN FUNCTION

(a) Check that the remote up/down function using the multiplex network master switch assembly operates the power windows Operation Check.

OK:

Remote up/down function is normal.

NG -- GO TO OTHER PROBLEM (Proceed to Problem Symptoms Table) Problem Symptoms Table

OK -- REPLACE MULTIPLEX NETWORK MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY
