DESCRIPTION

The satellite switch (clearance sonar main switch) is installed at the base of the driver side instrument panel.

The satellite switch is used to operate the clearance sonar main switch function of the combination meter assembly. When the clearance sonar main switch function is operated, the combination meter assembly sends a signal to the clearance warning ECU through the BEAN line.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT SATELLITE SWITCH (CLEARANCE SONAR MAIN SWITCH)

(a) Remove the satellite switch (clearance sonar main switch).





(b) Disconnect the satellite switch (clearance sonar main switch) connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

NG -- REPLACE SATELLITE SWITCH (CLEARANCE SONAR MAIN SWITCH) Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY - SATELLITE SWITCH)

(a) Disconnect the combination meter assembly connector.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
