DESCRIPTION

If the ECU detects trouble, the tire pressure warning light blinks (turns on after blinking for 1 minute) and the tire pressure monitor is canceled at the same time. At this time, the ECU records a DTC in the memory.

Connecting terminals TC and CG of the DLC3 makes the tire pressure warning light blink and output the DTC.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
* When replacing the tire pressure warning ECU, read the IDs stored in the old ECU using the Techstream and write them down before removal.
* It is necessary to perform initialization Initialization after registration Registration of the transmitter IDs into the tire pressure warning ECU after the ECU and/or the tire pressure warning valve and transmitter has been replaced.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

(a) Turn the engine switch off.

(b) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(c) Turn the engine switch on (IG) and the Techstream on.

(d) Select "CAN Bus Check" from the System Selection Menu screen, and follow the prompts on the screen, to inspect the CAN Bus.

2. CHECK DTC (CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM)

(a) Check for DTC Diagnosis System.

3. CHECK OPERATION OF TIRE PRESSURE WARNING LIGHT (ACTIVE TEST)

(a) Turn the engine switch off.

(b) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(c) Turn the engine switch on (IG) and the Techstream on.

(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Active Test /

(e) Check the condition of the tire pressure warning light by operating the Techstream.

The warning light turns on/off when operating the Techstream.
