Disassembly
DOOR / HATCH: FRONT DOOR: DISASSEMBLY
HINT
* Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
* The procedures listed below are for the LH side.
1. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH Removal
2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
NOTICE:
* w/ Navigation System:
* After the engine switch is turned off, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
* When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.
3. REMOVE FRONT LOWER DOOR FRAME BRACKET GARNISH LH
(a) Detach the clip and claw, and remove the front lower door frame bracket garnish.
4. REMOVE FRONT DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL PLUG LH
(a) Using a screwdriver, detach the 3 claws and remove the inside handle bezel plug.
HINT
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
5. REMOVE FRONT UPPER ARMREST BASE PANEL LH
(a) Using a moulding remover, detach the 5 claws.
(b) Disconnect the connector and remove the front upper armrest base panel and multiplex network master switch.
6. REMOVE MULTIPLEX NETWORK MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the 3 screws and multiplex network master switch.
7. REMOVE FRONT LOWER DOOR ARMREST BASE PANEL LH
(a) Remove the 3 screws and front lower door armrest base panel LH.
8. REMOVE FRONT DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Remove the 2 screws.
(b) Detach the 14 clips and 4 claws.
(c) Disconnect the connector and remove the trim board.
(d) Disconnect the 2 cables from the inside handle.
9. REMOVE COURTESY LIGHT ASSEMBLY Removal
10. REMOVE FRONT DOOR INSIDE HANDLE ILLUMINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH Removal
11. REMOVE FRONT DOOR WIRING SUB-ASSEMBLY RH
(a) Disconnect the connector.
(b) Detach the clamp and remove the front door wiring sub-assembly RH.
12. REMOVE SEAT MEMORY SWITCH
(a) Remove the 4 screws.
(b) Detach the 2 claws and remove the front door trim ornament LH from the front door trim board.
(c) Detach the 4 claws and remove the seat memory switch.
13. REMOVE FRONT DOOR INSIDE HANDLE SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Remove the 17 screws and front door armrest assembly LH.
(b) Remove the 5 screws and inside handle.
14. REMOVE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY LH Removal
15. REMOVE OUTER MIRROR CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY
(a) Disconnect the 2 connectors.
(b) Remove the 2 screws and outer mirror control ECU.
16. REMOVE FRONT DOOR PANEL CUSHION
(a) Remove the screw and front door panel cushion.
17. REMOVE DOOR TRIM COVER LH
(a) Using a clip remover, detach the 7 clips and remove the door trim cover.
18. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY Removal
19. REMOVE SIDE AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY LH Removal
20. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER LH
(a) Using a clip remover, detach the 7 clamps.
(b) Remove the bolt and disconnect the 2 connectors.
(c) Remove the service hole cover.
HINT
Remove the remaining tape on the door.
21. REMOVE FRONT INNER DOOR GLASS WEATHERSTRIP LH
(a) Detach the 4 claws by pulling the weatherstrip upward to remove the weatherstrip.
22. REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
(a) for Driver Side:
Temporarily install the multiplex network master switch.
(b) for Passenger Side:
Temporarily install the power window regulator switch assembly.
(c) Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
(d) Move the door glass until the bolts appear in the service holes.
(e) Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
NOTICE:
* w/ Navigation System:

(f) Remove the 2 bolts.
NOTICE:
Be careful when removing the bolts as the glass may fall and become damaged.
(g) Remove the door glass in the direction indicated by the arrows in the illustration.
HINT
Remove the glass upward.
NOTICE:
Be careful not to damage the glass.
(h) for Driver Side:
Remove the multiplex network master switch.
(i) for Passenger Side:
Remove the power window regulator switch assembly.
23. REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS RUN LH
(a) Remove the front door glass run.
24. REMOVE FRONT DOOR REAR LOWER FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Remove the bolt and rear lower frame.
25. REMOVE LOWER DOOR FRAME GARNISH LH
(a) Detach the clip and remove the lower door frame garnish.
26. REMOVE FRONT DOOR BELT MOULDING SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
27. REMOVE FRONT DOOR REAR WINDOW FRAME MOULDING LH
28. REMOVE FRONT DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Loosen the temporary bolt.
(b) Remove the 5 bolts.
NOTICE:
Be careful when removing the bolts as the window regulator may fall and become damaged
(c) Remove the front door window regulator sub-assembly and the front power window regulator motor assembly as a unit.
HINT
Remove the window regulator through the service hole.
(d) Remove the temporary bolt from the front door window regulator sub-assembly.
29. REMOVE FRONT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Using a T25 "TORX" driver, remove the 3 screws and motor.
NOTICE:
Be careful when removing the screws as the motor may fall and become damaged.
30. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE COVER LH
(a) Remove the hole plug.
(b) Using a T30 "TORX" wrench, loosen the screw and remove the cover with the door lock cylinder installed.
(c) Detach the 2 claws and remove the front door outside handle cover.
31. REMOVE FRONT DOOR HANDLE ASSEMBLY OUTSIDE LH
(a) Disconnect the connector.
(b) Using a T30 "TORX" wrench, loosen the screw.
(c) Remove the handle by sliding and pulling it in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration.
NOTICE:
If the release plate is not pulled and held when removing the handle, the release plate will interfere with the handle and become damaged.
32. REMOVE FRONT DOOR FRONT OUTSIDE HANDLE PAD LH
(a) Detach the 3 claws and remove the pad.
33. REMOVE FRONT DOOR REAR OUTSIDE HANDLE PAD LH
(a) Detach the 2 claws and remove the pad.
34. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Using a T30 "TORX" wrench, remove the 3 screws and door lock.
HINT
Remove the door lock through the service hole.
NOTICE:
Be careful when removing the screws as the door lock may fall and become damaged.
35. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOCK REMOTE CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Remove the front door lock remote control cable assembly.
36. REMOVE FRONT DOOR INSIDE LOCKING CABLE ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Using a screwdriver, detach the 3 claws.
HINT
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
(b) Remove the front door inside locking cable assembly.
37. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Using a T30 "TORX" wrench, loosen the screw.
(b) Detach the 2 claws. Slide the outside handle frame and No. 2 electrical key wire harness to remove them.
HINT
Remove the outside handle frame through the service hole.
(c) Remove the lock open rod from the outside handle frame.
38. REMOVE NO. 2 ELECTRICAL KEY WIRE HARNESS
(a) Disconnect the connector.
(b) Detach the 3 clamps and remove the wire harness from the frame.
39. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOCK OPEN ROD LH
(a) Remove the front door lock open rod.
40. REMOVE DOOR ELECTRICAL KEY OSCILLATOR
(a) Remove the screw and door electrical key oscillator.
41. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 DOOR STIFFENER CUSHION
(a) Remove the 2 bolts.
(b) Detach the 2 clamps and remove the door stiffener cushion.
42. REMOVE FRONT DOOR CHECK COVER LH
(a) Remove the cover.
43. REMOVE FRONT DOOR CHECK ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Remove the bolt, 2 nuts and door check.
HINT
Remove the door check through the service hole.
NOTICE:
Be careful when removing the bolt and nuts as the door check may fall and become damaged.
44. REMOVE FRONT DOOR WEATHERSTRIP LH
(a) Using a clip remover, detach the 22 clips and remove the weatherstrip.
HINT
If clips are damaged during removal, replace them.
