DESCRIPTION

When the reverse signal is sent from the ECM through the multiplex communication line to the multiplex network door ECU front LH (driver door ECU), the ECU activates the outer rear view mirror LH and RH reverse shift-linked function.

HINT
The reverse shift-linked function will not occur when the mirror master switch is in the neutral position (OFF).

INSEPCTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK OUTER MIRROR SWITCH ASSEMBLY FUNCTION (POWER MIRROR CONTROL FUNCTION)

(a) Check that the outer rear view mirror LH and RH can be moved using the outer mirror switch.

OK:

Outer rear view mirror LH and RH can be moved using outer mirror switch.

NG -- GO TO PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK OPERATION OF SHIFT INDICATOR

(a) Check that the shift indicator of the combination meter operates normally.

OK:

Shift indicator of combination meter operates normally.

NG -- GO TO COMBINATION METER SYSTEM
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK SEAT MEMORY SWITCH FUNCTION (MIRROR MEMORY FUNCTION)

(a) Check that the outer rear view mirror LH and RH can be memorized using the seat memory switch.
