3UZ-FE ENGINE MECHANICAL: DRIVE BELT: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL FAN & GENERATOR V BELT





(a) Set the V-belt to everything except the No. 2 idler pulley, as shown in the illustration.

(b) Loosen the V-belt by turning the belt tensioner counterclockwise.

(c) Then set the V-belt to the idler pulley.





(d) After a new belt has been installed, check that the mark is within the A range shown in the illustration.

2. INSTALL NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET

(a) Install the air cleaner inlet with the bolt.

Torque : 5.0 Nm (51 kgf-cm, 44 in-lbf)
