Removal

STEERING COLUMN: MULTIPLEX TILT AND TELESCOPIC ECU: REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

2. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

3. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY LOWER Removal

4. REMOVE STEERING COLUMN COVER LOWER





(a) Turn the steering wheel to the left and right as necessary to remove the 2 screws.

(b) Remove the screw.

(c) Detach the 3 claws remove the steering column cover lower.

5. REMOVE NO. 4 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT

(a) Remove 3 clips and duct.

6. REMOVE MULTIPLEX TILT AND TELESCOPIC ECU





(a) Disconnect the 2 connectors.

(b) Remove the 2 screws and multiplex tilt and telescopic ECU.
