DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when items controlled by the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) cannot be customized via the navigation system vehicle customizing screen.

HINT
The certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) controls the smart access system with push-button start related items that can be customized via the multi-display screen.





INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

(a) Use the Techstream to check if the CAN communication system is functioning normally How to Proceed With Troubleshooting.

OK:

CAN communication DTC is not output.

NG -- GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM How to Proceed With Troubleshooting
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK SMART ACCESS SYSTEM WITH PUSH-BUTTON START

(a) Check if the smart access system with push-button start (for entry function) is malfunctioning How To Proceed With Troubleshooting.

HINT
Customizing may not be possible depending on the malfunction in the smart access system with push-button start (for entry function).

OK:

No malfunctions are present in the smart access system with push-button start (for entry function).

NG -- GO TO SMART ACCESS SYSTEM WITH PUSH-BUTTON START How To Proceed With Troubleshooting
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK CUSTOMIZE ITEMS

(a) Display the "Vehicle Customizing" screen.





(b) Make a note of the customizable items for each certification ECU related system.

HINT
These items shown as customizable via the navigation system vehicle customizing screen can also be changed manually. In a following step, a manual procedure will be used.

(1) Check the customize parameters list for the smart access system with push-button start related items that can be customized via the multi-display screen Smart Access System With Push-Button Start.

(c) Manually change and confirm that it was possible to successfully change the settings of the customize parameters for each system that are available for customizing via the multi-display screen.

OK:

The items available for customizing via the multi-display screen can be customized successfully using the manual procedure.
