P1572 - Improper Aiming of Radar Sensor Beam Axis

DESCRIPTION

This DTC is output when the scanning angle of the millimeter wave radar sensor is incorrect. This DTC is also output when the millimeter wave radar sensor beam axis is determined to be in an incorrect position.





INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
When the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly is replaced with a new one, adjustment of the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly beam axis must be performed Adjustments.

PROCEDURE

1. ADJUST MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY

(a) Adjust the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly Adjustments.

HINT
It is necessary to make the ECM recognize specification information (whether the vehicle is equipped with the dynamic radar cruise control system or not). When this procedure has not been carried out, this DTC may be output.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK WHETHER DTC OUTPUT RECURS (P1572)

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the engine switch on (IG).

(c) Turn the Techstream on.

(d) Clear the DTCs Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System.

(e) Perform the following to make sure that the DTC detection conditions are met.

HINT
If the detection conditions are not met, the malfunction cannot be detected.

(1) Drive the vehicle at a speed for which cruise control operation is possible.

(2) Turn the cruise control main switch on.

(f) Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Radar Cruise / Trouble Codes.

(g) Read the DTCs Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System.

OK:

DTC is not output.

NG -- REPLACE MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY Removal
