Removal

1UR-FE ENGINE CONTROL: IGNITION COIL AND SPARK PLUG: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

2. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP AND HOSE Removal

3. REMOVE AIR CLEANER FILTER ELEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY

4. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

5. REMOVE IGNITION COIL ASSEMBLY

(a) for Bank 1:

Remove the 4 ignition coils.

(1) Detach the clamp and disconnect the engine wire.





(2) Disconnect the 4 ignition coil connectors.

(3) Remove the 4 bolts and 4 ignition coils.





(b) for Bank 2:

Remove the 4 ignition coils.

(1) Detach the 2 clamps and disconnect the engine wire.





(2) Disconnect the 4 ignition coil connectors.

(3) Detach the clamp and disconnect the engine wire.





(4) Remove the 2 bolts and disconnect the No. 4 water by-pass pipe.





(5) Remove the 4 bolts and 4 ignition coils.





6. REMOVE SPARK PLUG

(a) Using a 16 mm plug wrench, remove the 8 spark plugs.
