B2650 - Slide Sensor Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

When the front power seat switch LH (seat ECU) does not receive a sensor signal despite forward or backward movement of seat by power seat motor operation, this DTC is output.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK FOR DTC

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the power switch on (IG).

(c) Turn the Techstream on.

(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Driver Seat / Trouble Codes.

(e) Clear the DTC Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

(f) Recheck for DTC B2650.

2. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM

(a) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Driver Seat / Active Test.

(b) Perform the Active Test according to the display on the Techstream.

Driver Seat





OK:

Motor operates normally.

NG -- INSPECT FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH (SLIDE MOTOR)
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH LH - SLIDE MOTOR)

(a) Disconnect the T10 connector from the front power seat switch LH.

(b) Disconnect the T3 connector from the slide motor.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH LH - SLIDE MOTOR)
OK -- Continue to next step.

4. CHECK FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH LH (SLIDE MOTOR)

(a) Reconnect the T10 connector to the front power seat switch LH.

(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Voltage:





NG -- REPLACE FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH LH Removal

OK -- REPLACE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH Removal

5. INSPECT FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH (SLIDE MOTOR)

(a) Disconnect the T3 connector from the slide motor.

(b) Check if the seat frame moves smoothly when the auxiliary battery is connected to the slide motor connector terminals.





OK:

6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH LH - SLIDE MOTOR)

(a) Disconnect the T9 connector from the front power seat switch LH.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH LH - SLIDE MOTOR)

OK -- REPLACE FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH LH Removal
