C1AEC - Front Sensor Communication Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when there is an open or short circuit in the communication line between the front sensors and the ECU, or when there is a malfunction in a front sensor.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (C1AEC)

(a) Check for DTCs Intuitive Parking Assist System.

(b) Clear the DTCs Intuitive Parking Assist System.

(c) Recheck for DTCs Intuitive Parking Assist System.

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CLEARANCE WARNING ECU ASSEMBLY - FRONT LEFT SENSOR)

(a) Disconnect the A31 connector from the clearance warning ECU assembly.

(b) Disconnect the B5 connector from the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT LEFT SENSOR - FRONT RIGHT SENSOR)

(a) Disconnect the B5 and B4 connectors from the No. 1 ultrasonic sensors.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

4. CHECK NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR (FRONT LEFT SENSOR)

(a) Remove the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (front left sensor) Removal.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

5. REPLACE NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR (FRONT LEFT SENSOR) C1AE1

6. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (C1AEC)

(a) Clear the DTCs Intuitive Parking Assist System.

(b) Check for DTCs Intuitive Parking Assist System.

7. REPLACE NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR (FRONT RIGHT SENSOR) C1AE4
