POWER ASSIST SYSTEMS: POWER STEERING ECU: REMOVAL

1. PRECAUTION (w/ Navigation System for HDD)

NOTICE:
After the engine switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (HDD navigation system) records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, make sure to wait at least 60 seconds before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

2. REMOVE BATTERY

(a) Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

(b) Disconnect the connector and clamp.





(c) Disconnect the cable from the positive (+) battery terminal.

(d) Remove the nut and battery clamp.

(e) Remove the battery insulator.

(f) Remove the battery.

3. REMOVE NO. 1 BATTERY TRAY SUPPORT

4. REMOVE POWER STEERING ECU ASSEMBLY

(a) Release the locks of the 2 power steering ECU assembly connectors (A) and (B).





(b) Disconnect the connectors (A), (B) and (C) from the power steering ECU assembly.

(c) Remove the 3 bolts.





(d) Remove the power steering ECU assembly.
