DESCRIPTION
The seat climate control ECU stops outputs to the seat climate control controller if a short, etc. in the seat climate control controller, wire harness or ECU interior circuit causes overcurrent.

1. CHECK FOR DTC
(a) Check for DTCs Climate Control Seat System.

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL ECU - SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL CONTROLLER LH)
(a) Disconnect the e34 ECU connector.
(b) Disconnect the e33 climate control controller connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL ECU (OPERATION)
(a) Replace the seat climate control ECU with a new one or normally operating one, and check if a DTC is output.
OK:
DTC is not output
NG -- REPLACE SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL CONTROLLER LH Disassembly
OK -- REPLACE SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL ECU Disassembly
4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL ECU - SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL CONTROLLER RH)
(a) Disconnect the e4 ECU connector.
(b) Disconnect the e2 climate control controller connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
5. CHECK SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL ECU (OPERATION)
(a) Replace the seat climate control ECU with a new one or normally operating one, and check if a DTC is output.
OK:
DTC is not output
NG -- REPLACE SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL CONTROLLER RH Disassembly
OK -- REPLACE SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL ECU Disassembly
6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL ECU - JOINING CONNECTOR)
(a) Disconnect the f28 ECU connector.
(b) Disconnect the fp2 joining connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
7. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HEATER BLOWER WIRE)
(a) Disconnect the fp2 joining connector.
(b) Disconnect the p3 climate control controller LH connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
8. CHECK SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL ECU (OPERATION)
(a) Replace the seat climate control ECU with a new one or normally operating one, and check if a DTC is output.
OK:

9. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL ECU - JOINING CONNECTOR)
(a) Disconnect the f8 ECU connector.
(b) Disconnect the fp1 joining connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
10. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HEATER BLOWER WIRE)
(a) Disconnect the fp1 joining connector.
(b) Disconnect the p1 climate control controller RH connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
11. CHECK SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL ECU (OPERATION)
(a) Replace the seat climate control ECU with a new one or normally operating one, and check if a DTC is output.
