Pre-Collision System (w/ Driver Monitor Camera)
PRE-COLLISION: PRE-COLLISION SYSTEM (w/ Driver Monitor Camera): B2090: Driving Support System Malfunction
B2090 - Driving Support System Malfunction
DESCRIPTION
The seat belt control ECU receives collision information from the driving support ECU and skid control ECU via CAN communication, and tightens the seat belt by operating the motor inside the front seat outer belt assembly.
When the driving support ECU detects a malfunction in the dynamic radar cruise control system, and pre-collision system ("Pre-Collision 2*2" part), or detects that the object recognition camera sensor has not been adjusted, the malfunction information is sent to the seat belt control ECU, which outputs this DTC.
When DTC B2090 is detected, other DTCs output by the driving support ECU (dynamic radar cruise control system, Pre-Collision 2) are also output.
HINT
If the object recognition camera sensor is replaced with a new one and the adjustment of the object recognition camera sensor has not been performed, DTC B2090 is output.
INSPECTION PROCEDURE
HINT
When clearing the DTCs, first clear the DTC output from the driving support ECU, and then clear the DTC output from the seat belt control ECU.
PROCEDURE
1. CHECK DRIVING SUPPORT ECU
(a) Enter the following menus: Powertrain or Body Electrical / Pre-Collision 2 or Radar Cruise / Trouble Code.
(b) Check for DTCs.
Result
B -- GO TO RELEVANT FLOWCHART
A -- Continue to next step.
2. ADJUST OBJECT RECOGNITION CAMERA SENSOR
(a) Adjust the object recognition camera sensor Adjustments.
NEXT -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU
(a) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Pre-Collision 1 / Trouble Code.
(b) Select "Clear" and clear the data.
(c) Recheck for DTC.
OK:
DTC B2090 is not output.
NG -- REPLACE SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU Removal
OK -- END
