BRAKE CONTROL: ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED BRAKE SYSTEM: DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART

1. DTC CHART OF ABS





HINT
* If a trouble code is displayed during the DTC check, inspect the trouble areas listed for that code. For details of the code, refer to the "See page" below.
* Inspect the fuses and relays before investigating the trouble areas as shown in the table below.

* In some cases, the Techstream cannot be used when ABS warning light remains on.
* When U0073/94, U0293/59, U0123/62, U0124/95, U0126/63, U0130/68 or U0131/67 is output, inspect and repair the trouble areas indicated by these codes first.
* Even after the trouble areas are repaired, the ABS warning light will not go off unless the following operations are performed.
(1) Drive the vehicle at the speed of 50 km/h (31 mph) and depress the brake pedal strongly for approximately 3 seconds.
(2) Repeat the above operation 3 times or more and check that the ABS warning light goes off.
(3) Clear the DTC.

If test mode DTC C1346/71 is not cleared, adjust the brake pedal stroke sensor.

9. INTERNAL GATEWAY ECU

HINT
After replacing the skid control ECU with a normally functioning one, make sure to initialize the skid control ECU (internal gateway ECU). If the ECU is not initialized, DTCs indicating communication malfunctions with other ECUs may be output, as the information of the previous vehicle remains in the ECU.
