Removal





THEFT DETERRENT / KEYLESS ENTRY: CERTIFICATION ECU: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH Removal

2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

NOTICE:
* w/ Navigation System:
After the engine switch is turned off, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
* When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.

3. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH Removal

4. REMOVE INNER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL BRACKET COVER LH Removal

5. REMOVE INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL LH Removal

6. REMOVE NO. 1 SWITCH HOLE BASE Removal

7. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

8. REMOVE LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL Removal

9. REMOVE DRIVER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY Removal

10. REMOVE CERTIFICATION ECU (SMART KEY ECU ASSEMBLY) (w/ Pre-collision System)

(a) Disconnect the connectors.





(b) Remove the 2 nuts and the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) with seat belt control ECU.

(c) Remove the bolt and ECU.





11. REMOVE CERTIFICATION ECU (SMART KEY ECU ASSEMBLY) (w/o Pre-collision System)

(a) Disconnect the connectors.





(b) Remove the 2 nuts and the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) with bracket.

(c) Remove the bolt and ECU.
