AB60F AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION / TRANSAXLE: PARK / NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH: REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTICE:
w/ Navigation System:

After the engine switch is turned off, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

2. DISCONNECT FLOOR SHIFT GEAR SHIFTING ROD SUB-ASSEMBLY





(a) Remove the clip and pin, and disconnect the shifting rod from the transmission control shaft lever RH.

3. REMOVE PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the switch connector.

(b) Remove the nut, spring washer and transmission control shaft lever RH.





(c) Remove the collar and transmission control rod bush from the transmission control shaft lever RH.

(d) Using a screwdriver, bend the tabs of the lock washer.





(e) Remove the lock nut and lock washer.





(f) Remove the bolt and switch.
