ENGINE IMMOBILISER: CERTIFICATION ECU: REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system Service Precautions.

NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.

2. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END RH Removal

3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH

Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side Removal.

4. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER RH

HINT
Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side Removal.

5. REMOVE SIDE INSTRUMENT PANEL RH Removal

6. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

7. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL RH Removal

8. REMOVE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY Removal

9. REMOVE CERTIFICATION ECU (SMART KEY ECU ASSEMBLY)

(a) Remove the bolt and 2 nuts and disengage the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) together with the instrument panel wire.





(b) Disengage the 2 clamps and connector holder as shown in the illustration.





(c) Disconnect the 2 connectors.





(d) Remove the 2 nuts and certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly).
