AUDIO / VISUAL: NETWORK GATEWAY ECU: REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:
Wait for 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable to prevent airbag deployment Service Precautions.

2. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END RH Removal

3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH

HINT
Use the same procedure for the RH side and the LH side Removal.

4. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER RH

HINT
Use the same procedure for the RH side and the LH side Removal.

5. REMOVE SIDE INSTRUMENT PANEL RH Removal

6. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

7. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL RH Removal

8. REMOVE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY Removal

9. REMOVE NETWORK GATEWAY ECU

(a) Remove the 2 nuts and the bolt and disengage the certification ECU with instrument panel wire.

(b) Turn the certification ECU with instrument panel wire in the direction indicated by the arrow.

NOTICE:
Do not apply excessive force.

(d) Remove the nut and network gateway ECU.
