2GR-FE ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM: ECM: REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.

2. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL Removal

3. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH Removal

4. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH Removal

5. REMOVE FRONT SUSPENSION UPPER CENTER BRACE Removal

6. REMOVE ECM

(a) Remove the 3 nuts.





(b) Disconnect the 2 ECM connectors and remove the ECM.

(1) Raise the 2 levers while pushing the locks on the 2 levers, and disconnect the 2 ECM connectors.





NOTICE:
After disconnecting the connector, make sure that dirt, water and other foreign matter do not contact the connecting part of the connector.

(2) Remove the ECM.

(c) Remove the 4 screws and 2 ECM brackets.
