Supplement # 2 - Attachment I

OASIS
OASIS will be activated for Navigators affected by this program. VIN's must be checked before submitting claims under 00B57.

OWNER LISTS
Owner lists for affected vehicles will be shipped via Ford Dealer Consolidated Communicator in the beginning of October.

CLAIMS PREPARATION AND SUBMISSION

NOTE:
Claims for Continental tires may be entered for payment beginning September 20, 2000.

Claims Information
Enter claims in ACES II for Navigator vehicles with Continental ContiTrac AS P245/75 R16 tires using DWE with the following information:

^ Enter information on a recall claim type. DO NOT use a warranty claim type.

^ Refer to ACESII User Manual for claims preparation and submission information.

^ Program Code - 00B57.

^ Enter B57TIRE as the base part and enter the total value of the tires from the "Suggested List Price" column of the latest Ford Motor Company Tire Price List.

^ Use the appropriate labor operation(s) from Attachment II.

^ Freight is not reimbursable under 00B57. See Attachment II for tire ordering and shipment information.

^ Tire disposal and applicable local waste tax will not be reimbursed. See the heading "Tire Disposal Process"

^ Enter the entire DOT codes and the part number of the replacement tire being used in the comments area of the claim.

To claim for the "Lincoln Commitment Special Handling", follow the instructions of Attachment IV.

A Copy Of Every Claim Must Be Mailed to General Tire
Dealerships are to mail a copy of all warranty claims to Continental General Tire on a weekly basis. Dealerships must ensure that the following information is very clearly written on each claim:

^ Complete DOT Code of each tire that is replaced

^ Customer Name and Address

^ Dealership Name and Address

^ Affected Vehicle VIN

Continental General Tire is in need of this information in order to properly inform the NHTSA of the volume of completed replacements.

Non-AtW Lincoln Dealers
Non-AtW/Ford Tire Program dealers may mount and balance tires or sublet the labor to mount and balance new tires under this program. Submit claims as shown below:

^ Program Code - 00B57

^ Enter B57TIRE as the base part and enter the total value of the tires from the "Suggested List Price" column of the latest Ford Motor Company Tire Price List.

^ Enter OSL or the Ford published operation (attachment III) as the labor operation. Enter OSL and the actual cost, not to exceed the Ford published operation amount at the dealer's approved warranty labor rate.

OWNER REFUND
Ford and Lincoln-Mercury dealers, including AtW/Ford tire dealers, will not be involved in processing refunds for customers included in the customer satisfaction program. Customers inquiring about a refund should be referred to the Continental General Tire Customer Center 1-800-847-3349.

RENTAL CARS
As this program utilizes the Lincoln Commitment Special Customer Handling Procedure, rental coverage is available. Replacement tire availability should be good; therefore, minimal rental assistance should be required. Rental vehicles should be primarily used while the customer's vehicle is being serviced or waiting for expedited tire orders. To expedite a set of tires for a customer seeking immediate replacement, please contact the Recall Hotline on 1-800-325-5621.
