If the old pistons are serviceable, make certain that they are installed on the rods from which they were removed. The assembly must be assembled as shown in Figs. 13 and 14. Check side clearance between connecting rods and crankshaft journal. Clearance should be .010---.020 inch for all engines except V6-232. V6-232 clearance should be .0047---.0114 inch.
