Condenser HVAC: Service and Repair

Fig. 2 Spring lock coupling disconnect & connect:

1. Disconnect battery negative cable.
2. Discharge refrigerant from system at service access gauge port valve located on the suction line.
3. Disconnect the two refrigerant lines on right side of radiator, Fig. 2.
4. Remove four bolts attaching condenser to radiator support, then the condenser.
5. Reverse procedure to install. Use new O-rings lubricated with refrigerant oil.
6. Evacuate, charge and leak test system. Check system for proper operation.
