Disassembly and Assembly

Disassembly

1. Remove outboard constant velocity joint as described previously.
2. Position tool T88P-2020-A or equivalent, onto a suitable press.
3. Position constant velocity joint onto tool.
4. With constant velocity joint position on tool, use press ram to apply pressure to the constant velocity joint and remove speed indicator ring.

Assembly

1. With tool T88P-2020-A or equivalent, positioned on press, place sensor ring on tool.
2. Position constant velocity joint into speed indicator ring tool T88P-2020-A or equivalent. Allow constant velocity joint to rest on ring.
3. With constant velocity joint installed on tool, place a steel plate across the constant velocity joint back face. Press constant velocity joint until constant velocity joint bottoms out in tool. The ring will be properly installed when bottomed out in tool.
