Rear Seats
Removal1. Remove the rear seat lower cushion. Remove the inboard lap belt buckle/tongue assemblies.
NOTE: Do not remove the lap belt buckle tongue assemblies from the seat cushion assembly unless they are being replaced.
2. Remove both RH and LH straps at the outboard floor anchorage.
NOTE: The anchor bolts also retain the seat back lower attachments.
3. Remove quarter trim panel. Prior to removing the quarter trim panel assembly, detach the bezel where belt exits from the C-pillar trim insert panel. Unsnap bezel by prying it off at lower corner area. The snap retainers (one each side), are approximately 25 mm (1 inch) above lower corner. Allow bezel to slide down belt.
4. Feed belt and attached hardware, including bezel through triangular shape opening in trim panel, as the quarter trim panel assembly is being separated from the body structure.
5. Remove retractor assembly by removing the upper and lower Torx(R) head bolts.
Installation
1. Install belt and retractor assembly by inserting lower tab on retractor frame into cutout adjacent to lower attachment hole and attach upper seat belt Torx(R) head bolt. Install seat belt Torx(R) head bolt into lower attachment. Tighten to 30-43 N m (22-32 lb-ft).
2. As the quarter trim panel is being positioned into its proper location, feed the belt and attached hardware through the triangular opening in the trim panel. Attach quarter trim panel assembly.
3. Slide the belt opening bezel up the belt. Secure into the trim panel by leading the two upper large tabs, with bezel at approximately a 45 degree angle to trim cover surface, under the upper edge of the trim insert panel opening. While pushing up and rotating the bezel toward trim panel, ensure that the leading edge of both retainers are within the opening of the trim panel. Push down on the bezel at the lower end until the snap retainers are secure.
4. Install seat back assembly by pushing to engage the three clips into the package tray strainer and the hole in both lower attachment tabs are aligned with anchorage holes in floorpan.
5. Attach the anchor plate of the belt and retractor assembly to the outboard floor anchorage with the proper length safety belt bolt. Index the anchor plate properly to the floorpan and trap the seat back assembly attachment tabs (two places) in between. Ensure belt is not twisted.
6. With the inboard lap belt buckle/tongue assemblies installed through the seat cushion assembly, attach the lap belt/tongue assemblies and seat cushions.
