Auto/Manual Diagnostic Check
This test is a self diagnostic check which monitors system operation and components. After performing this check, the Star Tester will display a code 12 indicating the system is okay, proceed to manual checks or a code 13 indicating faults have been detected, proceed to manual checks. The manual input checks should be performed at this time.

Fault codes can be displayed using the Star Tester. Each fault code detected will be displayed for about 15 seconds. Codes should be recorded at this time, refer to diagnostic code priorities chart.
Pinpoint Tests
Each fault code has it own pinpoint test. These tests have priorities assigned with ``1'' being the highest priority and ``7'' being the lowest. One fault may cause other fault codes to be displayed. Perform pinpoint tests in order of priority starting with the highest.
