Sunroof / Moonroof: Description and Operation

OPERATION

With the Ignition Switch in "ACC" or "RUN", the Window Safety Relay coil receives voltage from Fuse 6 and closes the relay contacts. Voltage is applied to the Moonroof Switch contacts through the Power Distribution Box and Window Safety Relay contacts. With the Moonroof Switch at rest, the Moonroof Motor wires are grounded. When the Control Switch is closed, the motor circuit opens from ground and applies voltage to the Moonroof Motor. The Motor runs in one direction.

The Moonroof Motor contains a self-resetting circuit breaker to protect the motor from high current draw if the motor becomes misaligned or jammed.
