HC24 Component Check (Shock Fluid Mist Filter)



^ From the previous tests it has been determined that the cause of the venting problem is located in the air spring solenoid valve or shock/strut assembly. In order to determine which is the problem the following actions are required:

^ Using a body hoist, raise vehicle off the floor (tire rotation height) so that no weight is on the tires.

^ Vent right rear air spring as in Step HC19 and remove air spring solenoid valve.

^ Remove air spring solenoid valve shock fluid mist filter.

^ Shock fluid mist filter is:

Clean or slightly oily -- GO to HC25.

Very oily -- GO to HC26.
