FE30 - Check Voltage of HDL Circuit, Headlamps Off

- Key "OFF".

- Disconnect Powertrain Control Module (PCM). Inspect for damaged or pushed out pins, corrosion, loose wires, etc. Service as necessary.

- Install breakout box, leave PCM disconnected.

- Key "ON", engine "OFF".

- Turn headlamps and all other accessories "OFF".

- Measure voltage between test pin 45 (test pin 42 for CD4E and Calif. M/T) at Breakout box and chassis ground.

- Is voltage less than 1.5 volts?

Yes -- Go to FE31. FE31 - Check Voltage of HDL Circuit, Headlamps On

No -- Go to FE34. FE34 - Check HDL Circuit For Short to Power
