TG - Testing Notes

NOTE: You should enter this Pinpoint Test only when you have been directed here from Diagnostic Routines.

REMEMBER: To prevent the replacement of good components, be aware that the following non-Electronic Engine Controls (EEC) areas may be at fault:

- Other aftermarket modifications

- Incorrect transmission fluid level

- Transmission operating temperature

- Engine operating temperature

- Ambient temperature

- Faulty connections

- Engine Sensors

The transmission solenoids and the manual lever position sensor are not analyzed in this Pinpoint Test, but are analyzed in the Transmission Group in the Service Manual.

This Pinpoint Test is intended to diagnose only the following:

- Harness Circuits: OCS, SS1, SS2,SS3, EPC, TCC, TFT, TR and 3-2/OCS

- Powertrain Control Module (PCM) (12A650)
