EGR Valve: Service and Repair

EGR Valve To Exhaust Manifold Tube:

REMOVAL
^ Remove throttle body air inlet tube assembly.
^ Disconnect EGR valve emission vacuum control hose and PFE solenoid hose from EGR valve.
^ Disconnect EGR valve to exhaust manifold tube from EGR valve.
^ Remove EGR valve retainer bolts and EGR valve from upper intake manifold.
^ Remove EGR valve gasket and clean residue from upper intake manifold sealing surface.

INSTALLATION
^ To install. reverse removal procedure. Tighten EGR valve retainer bolts to 20-30 Nm (15-22 ft lb). Tighten EGR valve to exhaust manifold tube nut to 41 Nm (30 ft lb).
