Exhaust Manifold: Testing and Inspection

1. Inspect the cylinder head joining flanges of the exhaust manifolds for evidence of exhaust gas leaks.
2. Inspect the exhaust manifolds for cracks, damaged sealing surfaces or other damage that would make them unfit for further service.
3. Replace warped or cracked exhaust manifolds.
4. Place a straightedge across the exhaust manifold flanges and check for warping with a feeler gauge.
5. If it is out of specification, replace as necessary.
