Impact Sensor: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. Wait for one minute for the backup power supply energy to be depleted.
2. Remove the battery if required.

NOTE: Access to the LH primary crash front air bag sensor and bracket connector requires removal of the battery.






3. Remove the radiator upper sight shield.






4. Disconnect the primary crash sensor electrical connector.






5. Remove the primary crash front air bag sensor and bracket.
1 Remove the screws.
2 Remove the primary crash front air bag sensor and bracket.

INSTALLATION






1. Install the primary crash front air bag sensor and bracket.
1 Position the primary crash front air bag sensor and bracket.
2 Install the screws.






2. Connect the primary crash sensor electrical connector.






3. Install the radiator upper sight shield.
4. Install the battery if removed.
5. Connect the battery ground cable.
6. Prove out air bag system.
