Engine Temperature Sensor: Service and Repair

CYLINDER HEAD TEMPERATURE (CHT) SENSOR

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Remove the RH catalytic converter.







3. Remove the air conditioning water deflector retainer and position the deflector aside.







4. Disconnect the cylinder head temperature (CHT) sensor electrical connector.







5. NOTE: The CHT sensor is located at the back of the right side cylinder head.

Remove the CHT sensor.

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
