Windshield Washer Reservoir: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. Refer to battery.

CAUTION: Do not make electrical connections prior to filling the windshield washer reservoir. Do not operate the windshield washer pump prior to filling the windshield washer reservoir.

2. Remove the RF wheel and tire assembly. For additional information, refer to Wheels, Tires, and Alignment.







3. Position RF fender splash shield aside.
1 Remove the screws.
2 Remove the pin-type retainers.
3 Position the RF splash shield aside.






4. Disconnect the washer hose

NOTE: Windshield washer fluid should be collected in a container after the windshield washer hose is disconnected.







5. Remove the washer fluid reservoir.
1 Disconnect the two electrical connectors.
2 Remove the bolts.
3 Remove the washer reservoir.







6. If necessary remove the windshield washer pump and if equipped remove the headlamp washer pump.

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
