Part 2
48. Install the gasket into the valve cover and position on the cylinder head. Tighten the bolts in the sequence shown.
49. Inspect the O-ring seals. Install new seals if necessary.
50. Instal the coolant bypass tube.
51. Install and tighten studs
52. Install the differential pressure feedback EGR system and tighten the two nuts.
53. Install the RH cylinder head ground strap and tighten the nut.
54. NOTE: Align the gasket locator tabs to slots in cylinder head.
Install new intake manifold gaskets.
55. Install the intake manifold and hand-tighten the bolts at the locations shown.
56. Install the eight ignition coils and tighten the eight bolts.
57. Install the crash bracket and loosely install the bolt and the stud.
58. Install the thermostat.
59. Install the coolant outlet adapter and loosely install the bolts.
60. Tighten the bolts in the sequence shown.
61. Tighten the stud.
62. Tighten the bolts.
Natural Gas Engines
63. Install the bolts in the isolation valve.
64. Reposition the fuel charging wiring harness and install the bolts.
65. Connect the isolation valve jumper to the fuel charging wiring electrical connector and reposition the connector on the upper generator support bracket.
66. Connect the fuel charging wiring electrical connector to the fuel temperature sensor.
67. Connect the fuel charging wiring electrical connector to the fuel pressure sensor.
All Engines
68. Install the throttle body and tighten the bolts.
69. Install the throttle return spring.
70. Install the transmission harness support bracket.
71. Connect the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) tube to the EGR valve.
72. Connect the EGR tube to the exhaust manifold connector.
73. Position the fuel charging wiring at two locations at the back of the intake manifold.
74. Install the generator.
75. Connect the electrical connector to the idle air control (IAC) valve and the throttle position (TP) sensor.
76. Install the generator mounting bracket.
77. Connect the generator electrical connector.
78. Install the generator wiring harness anchor to the LH front stud.
79. Connect the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor electrical connector.
80. Connect the electrical connector to the EGR vacuum regulator solenoid.
81. Connect the electrical connector to the differential pressure feedback EGR.
82. Connect the crankcase ventilation tube.
83. Install the EGR tube heat shield.
84. Connect the eight fuel injector electrical connectors.
85. Connect the eight ignition coil electrical connectors.
86. Connect the differential pressure feedback EGR system hoses.
87. NOTE: Only three bolts are required for installation.
Install the power steering pump.
88. Connect the camshaft position (CMP) sensor electrical connector.
89. Connect the A/C compressor electrical connector.
90. Connect the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor electrical connector.
91. Connect the radio interference capacitor electrical connector.
92. Connect the oil pressure sensor and the power steering pressure (PSP) switch electrical connectors and attach the wiring harness anchor.
93. Using the special tool install a new seal on the power steering pressure hose fitting.
94. Position the power steering reservoir and install the two studs and one bolt.
95. Connect the cylinder head temperature (CHT) sensor electrical connector and attach it to the power steering reservoir bracket.
96. Connect the high pressure power steering tube to the power steering pump.
97. Install the high pressure power steering tube bracket.
98. Connect the ground wire to the right rear fuel rail stud.
99. Install the battery cables and the bolt.
100. Install the accessory drive belt.
101. Install the lifting brackets.
102. Remove the engine from the engine stand.
103. Install the engine/transmission spacer plate.
104. Position the flexplate and install the bolts in the sequence shown.
105. Install the engine. Service and Repair
