REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

1. Remove the parts in the order indicated in the illustration and table.
2. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
Item 2: Brake Caliper Removal Note
1. Remove the parking brake cable end from the parking brake lever arm.
2. Disconnect the parking brake cable and conduit from the brake caliper.
3. Remove the caliper flow bolt and copper washers. Discard the copper washers.
Item 3: Brake Pads Removal Note
1. Using the special tool, compress the brake caliper piston and adjuster into the disc brake caliper. Align the piston notch in the up and down position.
Item 6: Brake Disc Removal Note
1. CAUTION: If it is necessary to machine the brake disc, only use a hub-mount brake lathe.
Measure the brake disc and resurface as necessary. Install a new brake disc if not within specification.
Item 8: Brake Disc Shield Removal Note
1. CAUTION: Use a 5.5 mm (0.22 inch) drill. Do not exceed past a 6 mm (0.24 inch) drill.
Drill out the rivets.
