Test E: The One-Touch Up/Down Feature Is Inoperative

NOTE:
- Excessive bounce-back (bounce-back that occurs with no obstructions present) may indicate a non-initialized window motor.
- The front window motors must be initialized whenever the following occurs: the motor is removed from the window regulator, a new motor is installed, a new window regulator is installed, a new window glass is installed, a glass top run removal and installation and when carrying out any operation in which grease or lubricants are applied to the window system. A new front window motor is in a proportional up/down mode until initialized.
- If this procedure is only partially completed, the front window motor remains non-initialized and only the proportional up/down functions operate. A non-initialized window motor may allow one-touch down operation, but does NOT allow one-touch up operation.

Normal Operation
If the front window control switch is pressed (key ON) to the second detent, one-touch operation occurs in the commanded direction when voltage is sent from the front window control switch to the front window motor over circuit 8-AJ42 (WH/GN) (LF) or circuit 8-AJ56 (WH/GN) (RF).

Possible Causes
- circuit 7S-AJ40 (YE/GN) open
- circuit 7S-AJ41 (YE/BK) open
- circuit 7S-AJ47 (YE/BK) open
- circuit 7S-AJ48 (YE/VT) open
- circuit 8S-AJ42 (WH/GN) open
- circuit 8S-AJ56 (WH/GN) open
- loss of B+ voltage (30-AJ80 [RD] [LH front], 30-AJ71 [RD/YE] [RH front]) to the smart window motor
- new smart window motor that has not been initialized
- new components that may affect the window travel
- window motor
- front window control switch
