PINPOINT TEST C: A SINGLE MIRROR DOES NOT FUNCTION WITH SWITCH LOGICC1-C4:
C4-C5:
C6:
Normal Operation
Under normal operation, the exterior mirror control switch uses circuits 540 (RD), 541 (DB), 542 (YE), 543 (DG) or 544 (VT) to control the exterior mirror movement.
- When power is received through circuit 540 (RD)/543 (DG) and ground through circuit 542 (YE), the LH/RH exterior mirror will operate LEFT.
- When ground is received through circuit 540 (RD)/543 (DG) and power through circuit 542 (YE), the LH/RH exterior mirror will operate RIGHT.
- When power is received through circuit 541 (DB)/544 (VT) and ground through circuit 542 (YE), the LH/RH exterior mirror will operate DOWN.
- When ground is received through circuit 541 (DB)/544 (VT) and power through circuit 542 (YE), the LH/RH exterior mirror will operate UP.
Possible Causes
- Open in circuits 540 (RD), 541 (DB), 543 (DG) or 544 (VT)
- Inoperative exterior mirror control switch
- Inoperative exterior mirror motor
