PINPOINT TEST D: THE REAR WIPER STAYS ON CONTINUOUSLY

D1-D4:

D5:

Normal Operation
During normal operation, the rear wiper motor receives voltage at all times through central junction box (CJB) fuse 38 (25A), circuit 406 (BN/WH). The windshield wiper motor also receives power with the ignition switch in RUN or ACC positions through CJB fuse 1 (7.5A), circuit 1002 (BK/PK). Ground is provided to the windshield wiper motor through circuit 57 (BK). The run/park relay is contained in the rear wiper motor electronics. Mode of operation is dependant on the signal(s) received from the multifunction switch.

Possible Causes
- Multifunction switch
- Open in circuit 57 (BK)
- Short to ground in circuit 485 (PK/BK) or 1413 (VT/LB)
- Rear window wiper motor
