Normal Operation
During normal operation, the rear wiper motor receives voltage at all times through central junction box (CJB) fuse 38 (25A), circuit 406 (BN/WH). The windshield wiper motor also receives power with the ignition switch in RUN or ACC positions through CJB fuse 1 (7.5A), circuit 1002 (BK/PK). Ground is provided to the windshield wiper motor through circuit 57 (BK). The run/park relay is contained in the rear wiper motor electronics. Mode of operation is dependant on the signal(s) received from the multifunction switch. When the proper input is received from the multifunction switch, the rear wiper motor provides power to the washer pump through circuit 946 (VT/LG). Ground is provided to the washer pump through circuit 941 (BK/WH) and the windshield wiper motor.

Possible Causes
- Multifunction switch
- Open in circuit 57 (BK), 586 (RD/PK), 485 (PK/BK) or 1413 (VT/LB)
- Short to ground in circuit 485 (PK/BK) or 1413 (VT/LB)
- Washer pump
- Rear window wiper motor
- Windshield wiper motor
