Removal and Installation

Front and Rear Section

NOTICE: When prying on a component, a non-marring tool must be used or damage to the component may occur.

1. Position the front seats forward.

2. NOTICE: The rear panel must be followed in following sequence or damage to the component may occur.

Remove the floor console rear finish panel in the following sequence.

1. With a non-marring tool, pry the panel rearward to release the retaining clips.

2. Lift the panel upward to release the lower retaining tabs.

3. Remove the floor console upper finish panel in the following sequence.

1. Lift the rear of the panel upward to release the retaining clips.

2. Pull the panel toward the rear of the vehicle to release the front retaining clips.

3. Disconnect the electrical connector.

4. NOTE: Do not remove the LH and RH floor console front side trim panels.

With a non-marring tool, detach the LH and RH floor console front side trim panels from the floor console rear section in the following sequence.

1. Pull the panels away from the floor console releasing the retaining clips.

2. Disconnect the 2 rear section front electrical connectors and the rear section LH in-line electrical connector.

3. Detach the wire harness pushpin.

5. Remove the LH and RH floor console rear side trim panels.
- Pull the panels away from the console releasing the retaining clips.

6. Remove the 4 rear-to-front section screws.

7. Remove the 4 floor console bolts.
- To install, tighten to 7 Nm (62 lb-in).

8. Remove the rear floor console section.

Front Section

9. Place the selector lever in the NEUTRAL position.

10. Remove the front cup holder in the following sequence.

1. With a non-marring tool, lift the panel upward, releasing the retaining clips.

2. Disconnect the electrical connector.

11. Remove the LH and RH floor console finish mouldings in the following sequence.

1. With a non-marring tool, lift the rear retaining clips from the floor console, by prying upward.

2. With a non-marring tool, lift the release front retaining clips from the from instrument panel by pulling the mouldings toward the rear of the vehicle.

3. Lower the moulding downward from the upper instrument panel sections.

12. With a non-marring tool, detach the selector lever knob bezel.





13. NOTE: LH side shown, RH side similar.

Remove the selector lever knob.

- Remove the 2 selector lever knob screws.





14. Remove the selector lever trim panel in the following sequence.

1. Remove 2 selector lever screws.

2. With a non-marring tool, pry the rear portion of the panel upward, releasing the rear retaining clips.

3. Pull the panel rearward, releasing the rear retaining clips from the Audio Control Module (ACM) finish panel.

4. Disconnect the electrical connector(s).

15. NOTE: Do not remove the LH and RH floor console front side trim panels.

With a non-marring tool, detach the LH and RH floor console front side trim panels.

- Pull the panels away from the floor console releasing the retaining clips.

16. Position the front seats forward.

17. Remove the 2 rear floor console bolts.
- To install, tighten to 7 Nm (62 lb-in).

18. Disconnect the front section LH in-line electrical connector.

19. Position the front seats rearward.

20. Remove the 2 front and 2 center floor console bolts.
- To install, tighten to 7 Nm (62 lb-in).

21. Attach the LH and RH floor console front side trim panels.

22. Remove the 2 floor console-to-instrument panel screws.

23. Remove the front storage compartment mat and access panel.

24. Detach the wire harness pin-type retainer from the floor console front section.

25. Disconnect the floor section front in-line electrical connector.

26. Disconnect the selector lever cable from the selector lever.





27. Remove the selector cable from the selector lever cable bracket.
- Release the 2 selector cable retaining tabs and pull the selector cable upwards.





28. Remove the floor console front section in the following sequence.

1. Pull the floor console rearward to release the retaining clips from the instrument panel.

2. Remove through the LR door opening.

Front and Rear Section

29. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- To install, make sure to align the retaining clips to the adjacent retaining clip holes.
