A-Pillar Trim Panel

Removal and Installation

NOTICE: The A-pillar speaker grille is not serviceable. Do not attempt to remove the speaker grille. Failure to follow this instruction will result in damage to the A-pillar trim panel.

1. Remove the instrument panel side finish panel.
- Pull outward to release the retaining clips.

2. Remove the lower A-pillar trim panel.
- Pull outward to release the retaining clips.

3. Pull outward on the A-pillar trim panel to release the clips.

4. Twist the side air curtain tether 180 degrees so that the tether will release from the A-pillar trim panel.

5. If equipped, disconnect the speaker electrical connector.

6. Pull the A-pillar trim panel towards the rear of the vehicle to remove.

7. WARNING: A new A-pillar trim panel tether must be installed if the tether is damaged or does not fasten correctly. During a side air curtain deployment the A-pillar trim panel tether helps prevent the trim from striking the occupant. Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious injury to vehicle occupant(s).

NOTICE: Alignment tabs must be positioned properly for installation. Failure to properly align tabs may result in damage to the component.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
