Power-Fold Seat Motor - Second Row, 40 Percent, Bench

Removal and Installation

NOTE: For parts identification and location, refer to Seat - Exploded View, Second Row Seat - Exploded View, Second Row.

1. Remove the affected second row seat. For additional information, refer to Seat - Second Row Seat - Second Row.

2. Separate the strut and disengage the cushion cover J-clip.





3. Disengage the cushion cover J-clip at the rear attached to the cushion frame and open the flap.

4. From under the seat, pull the cushion cover outboard retainers out from between the riser and cushion frame.





5. Remove the screw and recliner handle.

6. Remove recliner outer cover.
- Remove the screw.

- Release the retainer tabs and separate the trim covers.

- Route the pull strap through the hole in the trim cover.

7. Disconnect the power-fold seat motor cable from the recliner.
- Disconnect the cable jacket from the cable clamp.

- Rotate the cable end guide to release.





8. Loosen the 2 recliner-to-cushion frame bolts, route the cable from the cushion frame and remove the power-fold seat motor.
- To install, tighten to 50 Nm (37 lb-ft).

- Note the cable routing for installation.

9. Lift the cushion foam pad, remove the 2 screws and the power-fold seat motor.

10. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
