ISSUE
Some 2011-2012 MKT vehicles equipped with SYNC and without the navigation feature may experience 911 assist and VHR features missing and/or unavailable from the SYNC advanced settings menu.

ACTION
Follow the Service Procedure steps to correct the condition.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

1. Ensure that Integrated Diagnostic Software (IDS) release is at 75.03 or higher and then close the IDS software.

2. To perform the reprogram it will be necessary to follow the online version of the Workshop Manual (WSM) Section 418-01 Accessory Protocol Interface Module APIM - Standard programming. Update the Consumer Interface Processor (CIP) software level to BG1T-14D544-AF level/version Gen1-V3.2.3.
